Dr Wu Dar Ching is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Director of Raffles Heart Centre. Dr Wu graduated from the

University of Singapore and obtained his surgical fellowship degree from the Royal Australasian College of

Surgeons. He received his fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in USA under a WHO award.

Dr Wu is a Visiting Consultant at The Heart Institute, National University Hospital, Changi General Hospital,

Singapore and GJPMC, Brunei. He is Honorary Consultant to several hospitals in China. He is also Past

Chairman of the Chapter of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Past President of the Singapore Cardiac Society,

Past Vice-Chairman of Singapore Heart Foundation and Past Honorary Secretary Treasurer of the Asean

Federation of Cardiology.

Professional Contributions

Dr Wu performed the first Cardiomyoplasty Surgery in the region and the first Endovascular Stent Graft

Implantation for abdominal aortic aneurysm in Singapore.

Dr Wu is also a reviewer for a number of academic journals.

Dr Wu presented and published more than 50 scientific papers. The subjects written include Cardiomyoplasty,

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery and Surgery for Carcinoma of the Lung.
