Dr Haresh Dodeja 


Dr Dodeja completing his MD in Medicine from Grant Medical College, one of the oldest and
prestigious medical colleges of India, he joined the Jaslok Hospital and Research Center to do his
training in nephrology and transplant medicine and received his Diplomate in Nephrology from
the National Board of Education.

He was the recipient of Dr P.N.Berry scholarship for the year 2003,and received the Royal
College sponsored Clinical Fellowship to train in the U.K. He joined Professor John Feehally,
well respected teacher and the president of the Renal Association to train with him at the
Leicester General Hospital for one year.

He is well versed with all aspects of general nephrology and dialysis, including CRRT, and
CAPD, as well as Renal Transplantation. While at Leicester, he also picked up training in all the
procedures like doing dynamic ultrasound guided biopsies , and insertion of Permacaths. He has
received training in the long term care of the renal transplant patients while at Jaslok Hospital,
which has done more than 1500 transplants, and at Leicester General Hospital, where he
managed the annual review clinic for almost a year. His personal interest and aim has been in
setting up a Renal Obstetric Clinic for the management of renal disease in obstetric practice.

He has presented numerous papers at the national conferences in India, and was twice recipient
of the Best poster presentation in Hemodialysis and Transplant category. He has presented his
audit on CAPD patients, from Leicester general hospital. which was presented at the World
Congress of Nephrology in Singapore 2005.He has co-authored a chapter on Poisoning and
Renal Failure with Prof John Feehally for the new edition of Clinical Nephrology, which is due
for print in April 2007.
