He was the heading the Department of Orthopaedics at Indian Spinal Injuries centre, in Vasant Kuni, New Delhi, He graduated from Kasturba Medical College Manipal, then Completed his Diaploma and MS from the same institution. His vast and varied experience in Orthopaedics inculded tranning at Manipal Hospital, Harrogate, UK and Sydney, Australia. He was deputed at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia for 3 years.

His sincere and hardworking efforts in patient care revolutionized surgical Care at the department of Spine surgery in the Indian Spinal Injuries center, Vasant Kuni. He popularised Anterior Approach for complex spine problems. Fixation of implants in TB of the Spine was also strongly advocated by him. His areas of interest inculde injuries and infections of the spine, spinal cancers, disc surgery, spinal pain and spinal stenosis at Max HealthCare. He Joined by his team of spine experts from Indian Spinal Injuries Center: Dr. Sunil Katoch and Dr. Sameer Anand.
