General Experience:

I have performed more than 3000 Procedures in the UK under supervision and independently. I was World trained and experienced both primary and revision total Hip and Total Knee Replacements, Total Shoulder, Total Elbow Replacements, Arthroscopy in addition to routine Trauma.

During my Spain Fellowship under Prof. R A Dickson and Mr. P A Millner at St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds England, I was trained in all aspects of Orthopaedics Spinal Surgery with emphasis on Scoliosis and complex spinal reconstructive surgery both anteriorly and posteriorly from skull to sacrum.

After coming back to India in 2000 December, I have performed over 500 spine operations which include Microdiscectomy, Decompression, Instrumented fusion for infections, trauma and degenerative conditions and correction of Spinal deformity.

I have also special interest in complex, pelvis and acetabular trauma, I performed a number of anterior column fixation through ilioinguinal approach. I have also performed a number of primary and revision joint replacements for hip and knee arthritis.

Administrative Experience:

I was the secretary of Bangalore Orthopaedics Society in the year 2003, I was involved in organization of the monthly meetings and conference.
I am the coordinator for Department of Orthopaedics at Apollo Hospitals and I am a member of the Medical Board at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore.


Teaching Experience:

I had the opportunity to teach undergraduate Medical students at St. Thomas’s Medical School, London. In the year 1995-96 and German Medical students posted at Eastbourne District Hospital, England in 1997 and Post graduate Doctors preparing for FRCS examinations at Brighton, I was a honorary tutor in Spinal surgery at St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds.

I was in-charge of the DNB training program in Orthopaedics at Hosmat Hospital, Bangalore during the year 2000 Dec and 2005 Dec.
