Dr Vipul Patel

Dr. Vipul Patel is an internationally recognized expert in the field of minimally invasive robotic prostatectomy. He has personally performed the most robotic prostatectomies in the world and has currently performed over 2,800 procedures. Dr. Vipul Patel currently serves as the Medical Director of the Global Robotic Institute, Florida, USA. Aside from vast surgical experience, he is also committed to sharing his expertise in training robotic urology surgeons around the world. He has utilized his skill and knowledge in this field to train and educate surgeons world wide. He is editor in chief of the Journal of Robotic Surgery and of the first robotic urology textbook. Prior to joining Florida Hospital, Dr. Patel practiced at the Ohio State University where he served as the Director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery. Florida Hospital was an earlier adopter of the robotic prostatecomy.
