WOCKHARDT HOSPITALS LAUNCH "SPINE CENTER"

The Wockhardt Hospitals have launched a new "Spine Centre" at its Bannerghatta Road facility in Bangalore, India on November 25, 2007.

The centre was inaugurated by neurosurgeon and Founder Director of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences R.M. Verma.

According to Deshpande V. Rajkumar, consultant neurosurgeon, Wockhardt Hospitals, "The objective is to offer comprehensive management of spine disorder - from birth defects to degeneration of tumour and trauma.

"There is a complete diagnostic facility, including dynamic digital X-rays, Spiral CT scanning, MRI and Electrophysiology unit, all under one roof."

The spine centre is also equipped with a rehabilitation center for preventive rehabilitation and post-surgery physical training.
