OSTEOARTHRITIS - BIRMINGHAM HIP RESURFACING SURGERY TESTIMONIAL
Transcript of the video testimonial
Hi, my name is James S. I’m from the Western United States. I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I had a problem that actually dated back 25 years ago. It has really caused me problems the last 4 or 5 years. The last 2-3 months became just unbearable. I needed to do something to correct the problem that I had.
With the way that the health care system is in the US I just could not afford to get advantage of anything that they have there. I did a lot of research online. I ran across Healthbase who directed me to Wockhardt Hospital.
These people have world class surgeons and doctors. Their physiotherapy staff seems to be the best that I’ve ever been able to work with. The care that I got here is very good, it’s unique. It’s almost as if you don’t have to ask for something; they are attuned to what problems arise and they bring, they fix whatever needs to be done here.
I got a lot of assistance in the minor things that I needed to accomplish a trip over here. A lot of the information came from Healthbase, their website. A lot of the help came from their public relations people. They were able to get me a passport and a visa within 3 weeks which is at this time just unheard of. A part of the website brought me to an area where I bought travel insurance which is something I didn’t know that even existed so I was pretty glad that I had that.
When I got here to the hospital, when I landed in Mumbai, I was picked up at the hospital by representatives from Healthbase and it was a pretty long ride over here so I was certainly glad that they were able to help me with that as well.
I was able to sightsee just a little bit. My wife and I got out do a little sightseeing. We went to dinner with one of the representatives from Healthbase and we were able to do a little shopping. It was a pretty good day for us. It was a very good day for my wife, for both of us to get out of the room for a little bit here.
The money that I saved on this venture is just tremendous. I’m conservatively estimating that I probably saved $45,000 to have my surgery done here. I have a couple other problems that go along with my health situation that would also come into play in the States but they would be a lot more expensive to deal with there as well.
So this entire experience for me has been very good. Healthbase and their service is just excellent – excellent service provided, excellent help provided. They have been in contact with me numerous times since I’ve been at the hospital. They call me on the phone. They speak to me personally. They want to make sure that everything is the way that they think it should be.
The people at Wockhardt again are just excellent – excellent surgeons, excellent doctors, nurses. The complete staff is very good. I would recommend both of the corporations as very high, excellent. And I would recommend to my friends that they do something as this to use Healthbase and Wockhardt to alleviate any problems that they have medically. This is something I did not know even existed and I was certainly glad to find out that it did.
